On Wednesday, June 14th, 2023, the Sahyog Care team, in collaboration with SDM Narela, successfully rescued 68 children from the clutches of child labor. Among them were 24 girls and 44 boys, all aged between 15 and 17 years old. These children were found working in the industrial sector of Narela district, where child labor was alarmingly prevalent.

In the Narela area, numerous children were found to be employed in various factories, including those involved in steel cutting, utensil manufacturing, shoe and slipper production, wire manufacturing, and cosmetics production, among others. Shockingly, these children were subjected to grueling work hours, often exceeding 12 hours a day, and were compensated a meager sum of only 200 to 250 rupees per day.

This successful rescue operation marks a significant step towards achieving a Child Labour-Free India. The Sahyog Care team remains committed to providing support and care for these rescued children, ensuring their well-being and a brighter future.
